Study for the \u201cnew\u201d questions. There is a higher percentage of questions regarding digital modes, and not just FT8. However, why be in a rush to upgrade? A lot can be done with a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cvarc.org\/2023\/08\/14\/technician-level-license-course-set-for-september\/\" target=\"_blank\">Technician license<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While I would like for a Technician to be allowed to operate CW in the old Novice portions of the bands, ten meters SSB is available. VHF+ frequencies are available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Satellites, ATV, repeaters, digital modes (FT8 on 6 meters to work DXCC or chase grids, or just have fun), AREDN, microwaves and more are all available with a technician class license. Join an active and motivated group that is learning about ham radio, learning about the hobby, implementing technology, having fun.
